About Stunner

Stunner is a new band blending rock with elements of metal and funk, with provocative lyrics and catchy hooks that bring their music to life.

Stunner came about as a new rock band in April 2006 after the end of Whoopachang. With Evan moving back to drums, and the addition of fellow Whoopachang guitarist Kyle Middleton, plus the joining of long time musical companion Anthony White on bass made a solid musical trio. As well as bass, Anthony assumed the position of lead lyric writer, when he found out that lyrics and ideas that formed songs could come to him much easier - something he had never realised or used before.

As the music is an important part of Stunner, the three instrumentalists wanted to focus on their instrument, so the recruitment for a frontman was quick and an excellent live performer, Liam Buxton was found. Essentially Stunner takes on the mentality of a POWER TRIO with a lead singer.

After 2 and a half months of solid writing, Stunner, back then known as 'Quake' had developed and refined enough material to enter the Warner's Bay High School 'Big Bay Out'. The Quake boys came home with a WIN of Best Overall Band and the prize of Best Original Song. The song was 'Back For More' and this was huge for Quake and especially Anthony(if you want to know why, ask him).

The prize for Best Original Song was a free recording of that song, which was gladly volunteered by Andrew Hacker at ARTS Recording. The EP will soon be released.

Right now, Stunner is busy penning new material and preparing for the SOLVER CD LAUNCH.
